Reflections

This trip has made me more aware of the importance and uses of mangroves and many other plant species. Mangroves are really cool things, they come in all shapes and sizes, just looking at them amazes me.There aren't many natural reserves left in Singapore and i think this trip is a great way to teach us students how to protect our planet earth. overall, i learnt alot, not just on mangroves but also on how human activities affect them. let's do our part and protect them. :)

Through this trip to Sungei Buloh Wetlands Reserve, I have learnt alot about mangroves. I used to think that mangroves were a bunch of trees with roots that stick out like sore thumbs but now I realise they actually play an important role in the ecology & economy.

Before going on this trip to Sungei Buloh, I honestly thought this trip would be a waste of time and it would be the most boring trip ever. But I really enjoyed the trip, especially the part on taking pictures (mostly of me:D). I've learnt the importance of this reserve. :D
